Energy SkilledTM envelope programs include important content on new technology and best practices. Currently, these programs can be recognized under the following job scope. Additional envelope job scopes may be added in the future.

  • Home Upgrade Advising programs cover whole home energy systems and the interactions between different building components and assemblies. Technical concepts include interpreting home energy audits; understanding the functions and interactions of the thermal envelope, HVAC, water heating, and electrical systems; and understanding appropriate energy upgrades for these systems, including potential risks and benefits.
