For junior HVAC technicians, whose main role is that of support. Under this occupation, the junior technician will learn the basics of installation, maintenance, and repair procedures for HVAC while adhering to proper safety requirements.
Role Objective: To help and learn from experienced HVAC technicians on the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC units. Learn how to perform necessary tasks, such as maintaining a clean workspace, keeping tools and machines in good condition, and how to use the tools to work on HVAC machines.
This curriculum is recommended for Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Mechanics and Installers, US Department of Labor SOC 49-9021.00, and supports the Heat Pump Comfort Advising Recognition Program.
