We currently have approved training programs for five occupations. Our commercial training programs encompass Sheet Metal Worker, HVAC Service Technician, HVAC Testing, Adjusting and Balancing (TAB) Technician, and HVAC Controls Technician. Our residential training program focuses on the Residential Sheet Metal Worker.
Organization: Western Washington Sheet Metal JATC
Founded in 1940, Western Washington Sheet Metal JATC provides state of the art training for the union heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry throughout western Washington. With 4 training centers along the I-5 corridor from Bellingham to Longview, we are able to train apprentices and journey level workers in proper design, fabrication and installation of HVAC systems and equipment. Apprentices attend up to 5 years of classroom and on the job training as part of their apprenticeship and continue their education as journey level workers with night and weekend classes.
